Bioventus is a orthobiologics company that develops medical products
aimed towards active healing therapies for more complete healing of bone fractures
and treatment of the chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis.
These solutions work to enhance the body’s natural healing process,
accelerate recovery and improve the patient’s quality of life.

Therapies may also reduce the need for invasive procedures, leading to more cost-effective outcomes than previously possible.
Our small office of eight in Boston has undergone clinical trails to evaluate
a unique bone morphogenic protein (BMP) in it's efficacy in spinal bone repair
1
Monitor the animal's nutrient levels over a
26-week period following surgical implantation of the
BMP protein-carrier structure

Examine the animal's CT scans
to characterize the newly-formed
bone's density and volume

Analyze the effect of varying
dosage concentrations on the
animal's health and bone repair
2
3
Construct the protein's carrier
(a sponge-like rectangular mesh)
and engineer its structure for
optimal protein retention

Perform mechanical testing to
tear apart the carrier and measure
its resulting peak stress and strain
